There is no one answer for “the best way” to lose weight. You might respond differently to Janice down the road when you exercise or go on a diet,
So here are three powerful tools guaranteed to get you losing weight and still enjoy life!
All this means is to eat less calories than you burn. There are loads of calculators out there to help you calculate what you’re supposed to be eating. But one way I like to work with my clients is to weigh yourself then track what you eat in a week and if you lose weight you are in a calorie deficit, if not you know you need to cut something out.
(remember to track your drinks as well, every coffee or fruit juice contains calories that you may not think about).
When I say move more, I don’t expect you to go into the gym 5 days a week for 2 hours, all I am asking you to do is to get out and about. (5 minutes of exercise is better than 0 right?)
And it doesn’t have to be exercise, it could be taking the dog out for a walk or taking the kids down to the park and walk around the park having some family time with them.
It can be hard to get the balance of enjoying life and losing weight, but don’t stress as this will make it harder. Take time for yourself, just like getting moving I want you to take 5 minutes to yourself. I’m sure you can find 5 minutes to just make yourself a cup o’ tea and sit down.
